CHENNAI: As many as 363 election services centres, which are set up at taluk offices, revenue divisional offices and collectorates across Tamil Nadu, will become operational on March 14. These centres will facilitate voter registration, adding or changing details, including photograph on the voter ID card, among other services.
"As many as 269 of the 363 service centres are in taluk offices, 80 in revenue divisional offices and rest in collectorates," chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni said while talking to reporters at the Secretariat here on Wednesday.

On the issue of cash seizures, he said an appeal committee, headed by the project director, district rural development agencies, a treasury officer and nodal officer would monitor poll expenditure in each district and also examine suo moto each case.
Till date, the office of the TN Chief Electoral Officer has received 1,014 complaints of poll violations, with maximum complaints relating to banners (381) and wall writings (103), according to an official.
